Technically, it's still winter

..but who'd know it from this photo? Here's my lovely daughter Sophie and her partner Erlo sitting out on the deck in the sun this morning. I went walking early with the dogs, and the pink of the sunrise reflecting on the distant snow-capped mountains was so beautiful. Posted by Picasa

It's gorgeous weather in Christchurch, too. And I hear that only last week, it was snowing here (while we holidayed in Mt Maunganui where I didn't ahve to turn the heater on all week).
The daffodils are out, there are cherry trees covered in pink blossom, and our plum tree has clusters of little white popcorn petals just about to emerge.
Enjoy your daughter's visit.
(Oh, and I left a comment on your house price post, too)

While on the other side of the world, we're on the cusp of fall. It looks lovely and I envy your view. I hope you're enjoying your visit.

We just came back from a holiday driving up the west coast of USA and can't believe the scenery there is in the world. Your posts prove that it occurs all over the world. Someday I hope to see NZ as well.
